here's a few words about myself:

Hello everyone! My name is Bogdan, also known online as Satoscio.
I am a -year-old computer science student from Romania currently living in Italy.
I speak Italian, Romanian and English and I am currently, albeit lazily, learning Japanese.

My main interests are photography, ACG culture, traveling, j-core music and rhythm games.

How did I come to like photography? I'm honestly not sure myself, but I do remember always being the "designated photographer" on family vacations since late elementary and early middle school, starting on old point-and-shoot cameras like the Kodak C613 and the Lumix FZ38.
I started shooting "seriously" (learning camera settings, rules and whatnot) when I bought my first DSLR in 2019, a brand new Canon EOS 200D with your average 18-55mm kit lens. It was a great camera for its price and I always ended up bringing it with me on my trips.
Five years later, I wanted to upgrade and go bigger, so I sold my 200D and, after a lot of careful consideration, purchased another brand new camera: a Sony α7C, a compact full-frame beast that quickly surpassed the 200D's shutter count because shooting with it was that much satisfactory.

After recovering from GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome), these are the lenses I currently own and use:

let's talk about me being a weeb

Another unclear memory, all I can remember is me watching Mirai Nikki in middle school... Yeah, not my proudest first anime, is it? I find myself gravitating towards slice of life and romance anime/manga, despite not having experienced it myself. Pathetic, right? Despite that, my favourite anime of all time is Steins;Gate, which I find very captivating and also a very good adaptation of an already great visual novel.

Buying manga was something I started to do when a friend of mine introduced me to a comic shop in the city I went to high school, to which we ended up going every saturday.
Nowadays, I rarely buy physical volumes anymore because prices went up quite a lot in the last few years, and my tastes have changed so much that Italian publishers don't even consider translating most manga I'm reading digitally.
I now prioritize collecting doujinshi (mostly artbooks and the sort) and action figures.

For this one, I think I ought to thank my mother for making me like traveling. Thanks to her I visited a lot of places in Europe.
I also went to Japan three years in a row, in 2023, 2024 and 2025, the last one to the dismay of a certain friend of mine...

I like to organize trips independently, I do not like giving my money to middlemen when I can just book my own flights and hotels, and research what's there to see and do.
HumanSafari is the only travel influencer I actively follow on social media.

music and games

My favourite genre of music (broadly speaking) is J-Core, which is hardcore music originating from Japan. It pains me to say this, but I discovered this genre through osu!. Thankfully, that phase didn't last very long and I moved onto more serious rhythm games such as Etterna and later Sound Voltex and Chunithm, the latter I still play somewhat actively. My biggest problem in rhythm games is not having consistency, I wasted a lot of time not playing and not getting better, while some of my other friends surpassed me by simply playing regularly.
